Three pillars. Every session.

What We Train

Nobody does "just speed day" and skips the work that keeps them healthy. Every hour hits all three.

Speed training icon

Get Faster

Acceleration, sprint mechanics, and first-step quickness that show up on the field and the stopwatch.

  • First 10 yards — where sports are played
  • Top-speed form that holds up late in games
  • Full-recovery sprinting — the way speed is actually built
Agility training icon

Move Better

Change of direction is a skill. We teach the plant, the cut, and the re-acceleration — then make it reactive, like real sports.

  • Deceleration first — you can't cut if you can't stop
  • Planned drills, then live reads and reactions
  • Footwork, balance, and body control every session
Injury prevention icon

Stay Healthy

The best ability is availability. Strength and injury-prevention work is built into every single hour.

  • Landing mechanics — the #1 knee protector
  • Hamstring and groin durability work weekly
  • Single-leg strength, where injuries actually happen
The hour, on the clock

Every Session. Every Time.

Sixty minutes, five blocks, in this order — speed is trained on fresh legs, always.

Small groups, lines of four or fewer — nobody hides in the back of the line.

Programs

All groups train Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6:00 PM — same time, separate programs. Each age group runs its own age-appropriate session with its own coach.

About N²

N² Performance is exactly what it sounds like — Nick times Nick. Two coaches, one shared belief: every athlete can get faster, move better, and stay healthier with the right training and the right standard.

Nicholas Myers

Founder / Head Coach

Coach Myers brings over 20 years of coaching experience across many sports — football, wrestling, track, and basketball — including athlete recruiting, along with time at West Virginia University as both a strength and conditioning intern and a teaching assistant in the strength and conditioning department, where he trained football and Olympic-sport athletes under Mike Barwis — the longtime WVU and University of Michigan Director of Strength and Conditioning, founder of the BARWIS Performance Centers, and one of the most influential strength coaches in the country. He is a current physical education and health teacher and weight training instructor. Simply put: developing young athletes isn't a side project for him — it's what he does every day. Nick is also a realtor with Harvey Goodman Realtors, serving the same Northern Panhandle communities where he coaches.

Nick Coulter

Coach

A John Marshall High School product, Coach Coulter went on to play professional indoor football with the Wheeling Miners — part of the squad that went a perfect 9-0 and captured the 2024 AAL2 League Championship at WesBanco Arena. A trainer and competitive bodybuilder, Nick brings a champion's standard for effort and preparation to every session — and the kind of energy athletes want to show up for.

Backed by Sports Medicine

"As an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon, many of the young athletes I treat aren't hurt by contact — they're hurt by preventable problems: poor landing mechanics, weak deceleration, and bodies asked to compete before they've been taught to move. The evidence is clear that structured training in these exact areas can significantly reduce serious injuries like ACL tears in youth athletes. That's what makes N² Performance different — speed and agility built on a foundation of injury prevention. I'm proud to support this program and what it means for the young athletes of the Ohio Valley."

— Michael D. Myers, DO

Medical Advisor, N² Performance

  • Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
  • Fellowship-Trained in Orthopedic Sports Medicine — Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Cincinnati
  • Specializes in knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports injuries, and joint replacement
  • Team physician experience with professional, collegiate, and Major League organizations
  • Practicing in the Ohio Valley — Glen Dale, West Virginia

Dr. Myers advises N² Performance on the injury-prevention side of our programming, with an emphasis on knee and hip injury prevention in young athletes.
